Emma Vawter is a Chinese adoptee writing to share the stories of overlooked adoptees. Having been twice-adopted, she understands the complexity of the United States adoption process and the children lost in it. She hopes to inspire other outliers like herself to feel seen and heard. Professionally, she has two years of undergraduate journalism experience with multiple published articles and four years of amateur video production knowledge.
